At Once Upon, we're set on making blockchain data accessible, comprehensible, and genuinely transparent. We aim to transform how people interact with block explorers, replacing intimidating technical barriers with approachable tools that allow anyone to understand onchain activities. We're looking for team members who share our frustration with the status quo and are eager to contribute to this unfulfilled yet vital need in the crypto space.

Role

We’re building a system that gives our users superpowers. We’re working with many terabytes of data in real-time. Our data, and the systems around it, are as much the product as the interfaces the users see. The ability to constantly iterate and build bespoke datasets quickly is a requirement.

We’re looking for someone to shape the future of how Once Upon handles data. From quickly spinning up archive nodes, managing multi-terabyte indexes that live in memory, and everything in-between, we want someone who will take ownership and accountability in our technical future.

We’re extremely proud of what we’ve built so far, and our users love us. But we haven’t scratched the surface of Once Upon’s full potential. You will play a significant role in our success.

What we're looking for:

• 4+ years relevant experience with some of the following: Python, Spark, Node, Redis, MongoDB, geth or Erigon, and the general web3 stack.
• Someone who is respectfully opinionated and pragmatic. You will help shape our entire tech stack.
• Someone who values well-structured, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Empathy for our users, and a passion for creating the best experience possible for them.
